Hotel Villa Magna, first opened in 1972, is recognised as one of the most luxurious hotels in Europe. In June 2009, this iconic landmark reopened after a $50-million renovation, which meant even more luxury and comfort for the hotel's many discerning followers.
Hotel Villa Magna's stylish and elegant decor was designed by the well respected architect Thomas Urquijo. Having increased the number of suites from 18 to 50, the hotel now has the largest number of any hotel in Spain. Leaving the building's facade and floors untouched, the renovation concentrated on the hotel's interior completely transforming it, with the number of rooms reduced from 182 to 150 to make them more spacious and comfortable.
All rooms are elegantly decorated with genuine antique furniture. Stunning art pieces emphasis a modern aesthetic, which serves as a backdrop for the hotel's classic charm. All rooms have king-size beds, crisp linen sheets and personalised amenities from Blaise Mautin. Guests also benefit from up-to-date technology - wireless Internet, audio connection, VGA connection, CD and DVD players. A unique feature is the LCD Magic Mirror TV - a high-definition television, which when not in use, doubles as a mirror.
The Royal Suite comprises a living room, dining room with Japanese garden, bedroom with walk-in dressing room and a large terrace. The Real Suite offers a kitchen, a living room complete with piano, two bedrooms with walk-in closets, two full bathrooms, a private Turkish bath, office, dining room for 12 guests and terrace. The suite also comes with its own personalised Butler Service.
Those with a gastronomic palate will find themselves well catered for from Basque cuisine presented Michelin starred chef Eneko Atxa to authentic Cantonese delicacies at Tse Yang Restaurant.
The hotel also features Club Wellness by Kiara Kare for those guests looking to rejuvenate mind, body and soul.
The Hotel Villa Magna perfectly blends classic style with contemporary facilities to create a wonderful synthesis that ensures discerning travellers to Spain's capital city return again and again.
